Douglas County, OR

Start Date: 2/1/2013 - End Date: 5/13/2013
Our normal snowpack didn't come and we rely on this to provide water to our rivers and creeks during the summer. We also didn't get our normal amount of rainfall. I will start irrigating my yard today; I have been putting it off for a few weeks. This is a month early, the ground is very dry, and there have been several fires already. People who normally burn yard debris this time of year have been and the fires have been getting out of control. I have noticed a difference in the wild bird population. It has been much hotter than normal and the birds aren't staying around; they are moving up the mountains about two months sooner. CoCoRaHS Report from Station #Idleyld Park 4 ESE on 5/13/2013
