Charleston County, South Carolina, plants struggling, low water levels

AFFECTED AREAS:
Charleston County, SC

Start Date: 7/20/2015 - End Date: 7/26/2015
Frequent days with sub-inch rainfall leaves soil moisture marginal and many plants - both vegetables and ornamentals - are surviving but struggling, even with supplemental watering. I visited Washo Reserve this week. Water levels in the swamp were noticeably lower than my previous visit in March. An unexpected change to the water level gauge means that I'm unable to report a reading that compares meaningfully with previous readings. CoCoRaHS Report from Station #Charleston 2.0 S on 7/26/2015
