AFFECTED AREAS:
Okanogan County, WA

Start Date: 6/1/2015 - End Date: 9/29/2015
The very dry conditions and hot windy weather contributed to large wildfires nearby. We were evacuated once, and had days of heavy smoke. The fall colors are one to two weeks early. Some native plants have dropped their leaves. The dry weather has contributed to huge yellowjacket populations, they bite, not sting, as they try to get food. We can't even drink coffee outside. There have been restrictions on the use of chainsaws and heavy equipment. CoCoRaHS Report from Station #Winthrop 6.8 NNW on 9/29/2015
