The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the U.S. Forest Service and other federal and state agencies and environmental groups signed an agreement committing to an increased use of prescribed fires to improve the health of California’s forests and watersheds and to minimize the devastation caused by massive wildfires. These agencies will share resources and expertise.
