The director of public works in Mansfield will recommend that town selectmen adopt a state-recommended ban on outdoor watering like other nearby towns have done at an upcoming meeting. The Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs urged a prohibition on outdoor watering for “drought warning” areas.
