Hot, dry weather in southern Georgia was hard on the cotton crop, and the arrival of Hurricane Hermine brought wind and rain that tangled the plants, which will make harvest more challenging and take longer. While the harsh weather will not mean a huge dollar loss for farmers, it will take away a bit of the profit.
