Cattle producers in the county have a shortage of hay. Grazing is short so they are bringing in feed from elsewhere. Winter grains have not been planted because there is no moisture. Those that have put in grains have only gotten a stand under irrigation. Most ponds in the county are 2 to 4 feet below the normal water line.
