The Rough Ridge fire seared about 21,000 acres in the Cohutta Wilderness area of the Chattahoochee National Forest in Fannin County and has been consuming a few thousand acres daily. Atlanta Journal-Constitution (Ga.), Nov. 15, 2016 The U.S. Forest Service closed the entire Cohutta Wilderness to the public, due to wildfires burning there.
