As dry conditions persisted, additional burn ban signs were erected in Flagler County to alert the public to the fire danger and restrictions. Grills in public parks were bagged to prevent their use. The use of charcoal grills and fireworks was also prohibited.
Some residents were anxious about the parched grass and fire danger posed by the dry vegetation and feared that their lawn could burn.
