The North Carolina Drought Management Advisory Council issued a moderate drought advisory for a dozen counties in the northern Piedmont. The affected counties include Alamance, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Harnett, Lee, Orange, Person, Vance, Wake and Warren.
