CATEGORIES:

AFFECTED AREAS:
Taos County, NM
Red River, NM

Start Date: 12/1/2017 - End Date: 1/7/2018
The Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski Area in Red River has not been able to employ its seven employees and has not even opened for the season. To help the resort make payments to the U.S. Forest Service and pay other bills, singer-songwriter Michael Martin Murphey held a benefit concert for the resort. The operation may close permanently if it cannot bring in enough money to cover costs this year. Enchanted Forest relies on natural snow and cannot make its own.
