A bill allowing irrigators in the Klamath Project to transfer water claims from one property to another got a recommendation for approval from the House Energy and Environment Committee and was before the House Rules Committee. HB 4016 would permit irrigators in the Klamath Project to transfer water claims temporarily between properties within the same irrigation district. The aim of HB 4016 is to help claim holders get water to their properties, given that a drought year may be in store.
