AFFECTED AREAS:
Cedar County, MO

Start Date: 8/7/2018 -
In southwest Missouri, a Cedar County livestock producer reported a dry spring in one pasture and the need to pump water from a river twice daily to provide water for the cattle. Other producers were moving their cattle to another farm for water access for the cattle. Pastures dried up, leaving these producers to begin feeding hay during the last week of July. Hay production was 50 to 65 percent of normal. KRVN AM-880 & FM-93.1 (Lexington, Neb.), Aug. 7, 2018
