Mandatory water rationing. Trails for walking are dry and crumbling into dust. Cracks in the soil are 1/2 to 3/4" wide. Seasonal streams are dry. Feral animals are drinking from my bird baths. City water is harder than usual ( I distill drinking water and I observe the residue left over after the distillation process).
