Drought, high hay prices and poor grass growth has Wyoming ranchers making tough decisions about buying hay or selling cattle. A late June price release from the U.S. Department of Agriculture stated that Wyoming alfalfa prices were up to $180 per ton, an increase of $5 over last May.
