Sacramento residents and businesses were urged to lower their water use by 10% as drought persisted and Sacramento invoked its water shortage contingency plan.
The Regional Water Authority and Sacramento Water Forum repeated their request for area residents to lower their water use by 10%. Folsom Lake was at 28% of capacity and considerably below its historical average, but groundwater supplies should get the area through the rest of 2021.
