The Carlsbad Irrigation District offered 1.7 acre-feet to its customers this year as the snowpack was low. The district's customers are mostly farmers and ranchers in southern Eddy County. Customers received as much water this year as in 2021, which was the lowest since 2012's meager allotment of 0.08 acre-feet.
