Drought in Minnesota has killed even the larger, mature trees that are 5 to 6 feet tall. Normally the bigger trees can withstand drought, but one Christmas tree farm owner in Woodbury lost more than two dozen mature trees amid the state’s intense drought, and other trees did not grow well. The tree farm owner stated that he was still paying for last year’s drought.
