A Christmas tree farm in Marcus, Iowa lost about 220 trees to drought this summer. The bottom part of the trees were green, while the top portion was entirely brown and completely dead. Trees that did not die were still stunted for lack of moisture. To have trees to sell this season, the owners purchased 180 Scotch Pine trees from northern Wisconsin.
