AFFECTED AREAS:

Start Date: 12/1/2022 -
Little rain has fallen in Oklahoma in months, leaving pastures bare and ponds dry. Hay was scarce, leading farmers to consider alternatives to get the cattle through the winter. The dryness has gripped the state since August 2021 with an intense flash drought this summer that seared the state anew. O’Colly (Stillwater, Okla.), Dec 1, 2022
