Pennsylvania American Water encouraged customers statewide to voluntarily reduce their water use in response to the drought watch declaration announced June 15 by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Pennsylvania American Water asked residents and businesses to voluntarily reduce their nonessential water use by 5-10 percent, or 3-6 gallons per day, in accordance with DEP’s guidance.
