The Congaree River has been running about 2.7 feet, which is slightly above last week’s levels when the river was at its lowest in more than a decade. Some stretches of the river were more affected than others, with rocks being exposed, according to the Congaree Riverkeeper.
Low water levels have also provided a great opportunity to pick up trash in areas that would normally be underwater.
