Hot, dry weather continued in South Texas, causing the water level at Amistad Reservoir to drop quickly. On Sunday, May 26, the mayor of Laredo implemented stage 3 water restrictions as Amistad Reservoir fell to 20% of capacity. Outdoor watering was allowed just once per week.
