The South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center's annual Big Bloom Plant Sale has been canceled due to the drought in the Corpus Christi area. Organizers thought that it would be irresponsible to encourage plant purchases while water conservation was being urged. The sale is typically held the first Saturday in April.
