Flower and plant sales were slower than usual at a nursery and garden center in Midland, according to the owner. People were reluctant to plant much while dry conditions persisted. Plants at the garden center also needed more watering than usual.
One positive point to the dry weather was that people were purchasing more outdoor furniture.
