The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources met on May 22 and determined that recent rainfall eased drought conditions. Berkeley, Charleston, Georgetown, Horry, and Marion went from moderate drought to incipient drought. Bamberg, Colleton, Dorchester and Orangeburg counties remained in incipient drought.
