The Auburn Board of Public Works intended to draw water from Long’s Creek as the community remained in a drought contingency stage 3 water emergency. The board was working with state agencies to get a temporary treatment plant for Long’s Creek water.
An excavating business from Topeka, Kansas has provided 1,800 gallons of water for the public’s outdoor use.
