A South Carolina Department of Natural Resources committee declared the nine state counties that had been in drought, including parts of the Lowcountry, were no longer in a drought. The nine counties were Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester, Colleton, Georgetown, Orangeburg, Bamberg, Horry, and Marion, that were declared back in “normal” status.
