Fire restrictions in the Northeast Oregon District took effect on Wednesday, July 2. The Northeast Oregon District includes Union, Baker, Wallowa, and Umatilla counties along with small portions of Malheur, Morrow, and Grant counties. The aim of the fire restrictions was to lower the threat of human-caused fires.
