Residents of Lloyd were notified via Facebook that the tap water was higher in sodium than usual due to drought. People who are advised to severely restrict sodium in their diets were urged to use low sodium bottled water rather than municipal water. The higher salt content gave Lloyd’s water a salty taste. Poughkeepsie was another of the several towns with a saltier taste to their drinking water.
