Start Date: 9/9/2025 -  
A "significant" drought was declared for the majority of Massachusetts, including central and western regions, the northeast part of the state, Cape Cod and Nantucket. Southeast portions of the state are experiencing mild drought. Rainfall has been below normal for the past three months. The public was urged to conserve water.
