A vegetable and grain grower in Orleans County described this summer’s drought as ‘almost Arizona-like.’ All crops were affected by the lack of moisture, and some of the produce was smaller than usual. The fruit, for instance, was smaller, but it was sweeter, and the quality was good. Some fields were so dry that nothing grew.
