Poland Spring began reducing the amount of water it withdraws from some Maine springs on Sept. 1, as many parts of the state continued to endure drought. The company implemented a significant reduction in its water withdrawals from its Clear Spring site in Hollis (York Co.) and has also implemented reduction measures at other sites such as Evergreen Spring in Fryeburg and Bradbury Spring in Kingfield. Poland Spring intended to continue supplying bottled water to those with dry wells and to continue to work closely with local officials and the Maine Emergency Management Agency.
