Most crops and vegetation in Lapeer County were stressed in addition to farmed Christmas trees. Local water table levels in the ground and ponds have also declined significantly in the county. Autumn tree color was duller and less vibrant due to the drought. Leaves have fallen prematurely, which might shorten the viewing season.
